A coating of wax gives your vehicle a better shine and provides a layer of hydrophobic protection (water and dirt repellant) for about 3 months if the vehicle has its maintenance services and spends time in good conditions. The wax fills in all the imperfections of the vehicle in order to reflect the light instead of breaking it.
A ceramic coat provides a more powerful layer of hydrophobic protection that lasts much longer than the traditional wax, some brands last upwards of 3 – 5 years. Instead of filling in imperfections, a ceramic coat adds a thin layer above the surface acting similar to the protection of a PPF (Paint Protection Film) in order to create a more even and brighter reflection.
