Our ceramic coating offers 3+ years of protection that provides maximum resistance to heat, water, and the sun’s harmful UV rays. The resistant layer of coating left on the paint is highly hydrophobic making it difficult for water and other contaminants to sit on the surface.
With a highly hydrophobic surface, your vehicle tends to stay a lot cleaner than it would have without it. An added bonus to this is that it’ll also make it significantly easier to maintenance the exterior, keeping your paint factory new for a long time.
The process of applying a ceramic coating is both simple and tedious. We start by performing our decontamination wash to begin prepping the paint for correction.
In our decontamination wash step, we use a variety of products including a clay bar, iron remover, and tar remover. By using these products we are able to remove the rough layer of grime that is stuck within the pores of the paint, making it a smoother surface for the protection to bond to.
Depending on the condition of your paint, we will determine whether a 1 or 2-step correction is needed to remove as many defects as possible.
This must be done to level out the clear coat so that the ceramic coating can adhere correctly, and to also not leave behind any visible scratches sealed for years to come.
Once the surface is prepped and wiped down of any polishing oils, we will begin to apply the ceramic coating panel by panel ensuring that the coating is applied evenly with no high spots left behind.
The coating must cure at our shop for at least 12 hours to ensure that it doesn’t come in contact with any water during its curing process to prevent premature failure.
